Drain Tube Removed

I finally had the drain tube taken out. They did a culture and there wasn’t any infection. The surgeon wasn’t sure exactly what it was exactly, he said it looked like emulsified liver. It was still draining a little when the tube came out but they said the rest should be absorbed by the body. I hope so because it hurt so bad when they put that tube in and I do not want to go through that again.
I start chemo again on March 12. I think I will only do 3 months of it. They would like 6 mo. but I don’t know if I can do that much.
The chemo protocol I will be on is Folfox 4 with Erbitux.
I did these the first time around and the side effects of Oxaliplatin which is one of the 4 drugs given is awful. Oh well, one day at a time. More later….

Donna – So glad that tube is out! Never heard anything like that either. Keep me posted on how chemo goes. I will be thinking of you.
