Getting Better - May 16, 2007Views: 276

I am so grateful that the huge painful bump on my side was a cyst and not a tumor. I still have a home health nurse come by every day to change the packing of the wound and the bandage. That will continue until it closes up.

What is great is that the Onco said no more chemo until the infection is completely gone (can the infection hang around awhile longer)just kidding. It is only about 1/4 the size it started at.
I am back to work, still part time only because I don’t want them getting to used to seeing me all day everyday. Really, I am just too tired from the infection or the drugs for the infection to hold out a full day. I do what I can and have very flexible bosses that so far have hung in there for me.
I went to the doctor today and saw my surgeon Nurse Pract. and nurse. Both great women. Since I only needed a minor thing there was no need to see the surgeon (Dr. Shibata) who is a wonderful doctor and skillful surgeon.
He is always very busy on his clinic days and there was no room on the schedule but everything was fine with just us gals.
I see them again in 2 weeks.
More Later…...Donna

Glad to see you are feeling better.
Will keep you in my thoughts.

Hug Sherri
